Candidates must have a terminal doctoral degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field; a positive record as an educator; experience as an effective leader; knowledge of higher education, accreditation standards, and enrollment development; and the capability to acquire external funding for the department. An accomplished record of academic and industrial experience is preferred. The ABET-accredited Industrial and Mechanical Engineering baccalaureate programs enroll a combined total of 150 students. We seek a productive leader and collaborator for a department that serves a diverse student body with growing enrollment. Responsibilities include teaching, accountability for accreditation, budgeting, student advising, marketing, developing and maintaining industry relations, fundraising, implementing and enforcing departmental policies, organizing department meetings, and working cooperatively with faculty on initiatives that improve the department and its programs.
