Visiting Lecturer/s in Physics & Astronomy, Pomona College
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Pomona College, the founding member of the Claremont Colleges, invites applications for multiple part-time positions at the level of Lecturer for the Spring 2021 semester. Candidates must have a strong commitment to high-quality undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts environment to exceptional students from diverse backgrounds. At least some of these positions may be filled by faculty working remotely and do not require the instructor to be on campus. We are interested in hiring instructors for both laboratory and lecture courses and previous experience teaching remotely is desirable. While research is not part of the job description, the department is eager to hear from candidates who are research active and current post-docs and graduate students are encouraged to apply. Applicants should send a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, undergraduate and graduate transcripts, a statement of teaching philosophy, and names and contact information of three references along with their application.
