Assistant Professor - Acute & Tertiary Care, Memphis - 21000000HS
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Department of Acute and Tertiary Care in the College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position.
Duties will include: carrying out research program, securing external funding in support of research, teaching in graduate programs, advising doctoral students, and mentoring students and faculty in research. Candidates eligible for appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank will have a well-established program of funded research. Teaching contributions are expected, as are continued research productivity and scholarly contributions.
Research and scholarship activities, as well as service responsibilities, will be determined in collaboration with the Department Chair.
Doctoral degree from an accredited university
Unencumbered RN licensure in the state of Tennessee or eligibility to obtain RN licensure in TN
Active engagement in appropriate professional organizations
Evidence of scholarship, including research and/or grants
High quality didactic teaching experience in nursing is desired.
