Assistant Professor - Health Promotion & Disease Prevention, Memphis - 21000000RW
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Department of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention in the College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor position.
This faculty position will be responsible for teaching within the DNP program. The UTHSC embraces four missions: education, research, clinical care and institutional service. Responsibilities for this role include clinical practice assignment, in addition to educational responsibilities.
Teaching responsibilities include both didactic course work and clinical supervision of students. Research/scholarship activities as well as service responsibilities will be determined in collaboration with Department Chair.
Earned doctoral degree from an accredited university required.
Certification/recertification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee required.
Substantive expertise is required as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with at least 1-year of clinical practice in the role preferred. Expertise in clinical teaching and active engagement in appropriate professional organizations is highly desirable. Evidence of scholarship, including research and/or grants, is desirable. Academic rank commensurates with degree and experience.
