The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Department of Anesthesiology, is seeking physician anesthesiologists for full-time, non-tenure, academic faculty, and clinician positions. Individuals with fellowship training in the following areas are encouraged to apply:
* Critical Care Medicine (CCM)
* Regional Anesthesia (RA)
* Chronic Pain Management (CP)
* Obstetrical (OB) Anesthesia
* Trauma Anesthesia
Qualified generalists are also being sought. The patient population includes a heavy caseload in ortho, trauma, and high-risk OB.
Duties include direct patient care as well as teaching and supervision of residents and nurse anesthetists. Opportunities for clinical and basic science research are available and participation is encouraged.
Academic rank is commensurate with training and experience and compensation is highly competitive.
Eligible candidates should be board certified or eligible for examination by the ABA and eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee.
Completion of an accredited residency required and sub certifications/training highly preferred.
Current unrestricted licensure as a Physician in Tennessee,
Current certification DEA number, Eligible for malpractice insurance,
